The McGill Method was created by internationally recognized spine specialist Dr. Stuart McGill, drawing on over three decades of scientific research focused on the lumbar spine. His lab and clinical work explored the underlying causes of back pain, developed strategies for effective rehabilitation, and identified ways to improve both injury prevention and physical performance.
